King Salman Youth Center won the third Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Arab Youth Award in 2014-2015 for sponsoring Arab youth on Wednesday 13 May 2015.
The award was given at a celebration held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, head of the General Women’s Union and Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation. It was presented by His Royal Highness Sheikh Dhiyab Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and received by the center’s representative at the celebration and the executive director Mr. Hani Bin Muqbil Al-Muqbil.
The award supports young Arab talent, creativity and entrepreneurship and promotes the identity of the Arab youth to empower them to become productive members of their societies. The award empowers the Arab youth by celebrating the Arab youth’s global influence, Arab youth’s excellence, the leading organization in supporting Arab youth issues and the personal category supporting youth issues.
Although the center has won the Gulf Cooperation Council’s Medal of Excellence for the year 2014 as the most prominent Saudi youth initiative, winning this award as the leading organization in supporting Arab youth issues among 389 nominees from 20 Arab and non-Arab countries, including Canada and Spain, has granted the center a new international status.
The event was attended by the Emirati Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development Sheikh Bahyan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan and the Emirati Minister of Education Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al-Hamadi.
